Missing: Nation’s birthday Taken Away

Missing: Nation’s birthday Taken Away

Did I miss something in the bulletin or are we not celebrating the 4th of July anymore? Oh sure we have cookouts and the like but when I was a kid the fireworks were the most incredible spectacle of brillance on the planet. The 4th of July not only represents our nation’s birthday anymore. Too me it represents my childhood in ways nothing ever has yet looking through the state bulletins and everything I could get a hold of there doesn’t seem to be anything planned on the 4th but a fine arts exhibit. Did I miss something here? I understand that the nation isn’t doing the greatest right now with the economy and theĀ dissensionĀ in the ranks over the president but is that any reason to say, “Sorry Nation. You can’t have your birthday party this year! You aren’t as cool as you used to be.”

That is a load, if I ever heard one!

My goal MA is to get every single one of you out to the lakeside this July 4th for the biggest, baddest, most amazing spectacle that your kids will remember when they are old and gray. Turn off your DirecTV!!! Get your kids out! Don’t let them miss out on the wonderful childhood memories that make us who we are. Aren’t kids having enough issues with the way society is today. Take them to the BBQ or to the lake for a day of fun. Then teach them what the 4th is all about and show them the “Star Spangled Banner” in the sky that night. Let them stay up and eat way too much cotton candy. That is how you celebrate yet one more year of independence. So let me here you people. Tell me you are going to the festivities on the 4th and make sure you bring as many others with you as you can as the nation isn’t getting any younger and with the hard times we have faced you owe it to yourself to make the most out of getting through yet one more year.
